In recognition of International Women’s Day, March 8, The Haven Coffee House will be hosting the following activities: Friday, March 7
Saturday, March 8 (open for special event from 12 – 6) 2 – 4 PM Goddess of Truffles tasting. 25% of the $15 tasting fee will be donated to the Life Restored International organization.
4 – 6 PM Women At Risk (WAR) fundraiser The passion of Women at Risk International (WAR Int'l) is to give voice to the silenced cry of women around the world, creating a circle of protection and offering a safe place to turn crisis into a story of healing and hope. There is no greater joy than to see a woman or child rescued from sexual slavery, restored and empowered to support herself with dignity. Unique handcrafted jewelry, silk scarves, purses and other products will be sold at The Haven. These products are made by women in safe houses who have been rescued from or are at risk for sexual slavery.. 90% of the proceeds go back to the women and their programs. 10% covers the ministry's costs. Come and shop with a purpose. Stepped out of the shower this morning and asked my cat, Taboo, "what is it all about?" Imagine my surprise & delight when she revealed the answer (telepathically of course - but I swear I heard it)! THANK YOU! If your reading this I assume you're among the first in a group of dear friends, family, and fans. I appreciate your love and support and vow to do all I can to feed your lust for the sensual experience of indulging in my truffles. Why do I call it a "sensual experience"? Because, my dear, it is my intention that when you are in the moment of receiving this nectar of nature, all of your senses will be tantalized! I have always had this strategy to flirt with each sense when creating a memorable event:
Having employed these charms on my guests, it seems to have always created a moment in space and time where everything is perfect. The energy is positive and the moment of connection with what could be called a sixth sense, perception, is acute. So this is the experience I hope to create with Goddess of Truffles; a bit of connection in a bite of confection! Please, DO NOT gulp down a truffle. As of today (July 19, 2013) each truffle is handmade. This process involves time, attention and love energy! Make a bubble in this space & time, close your eyes, engage your senses, be joy.
